The RCB Cares Foundation initiative, launched by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in late August 2025 in the wake of the tragic stampede occurred at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on June 04, 2025, have made a significant and heartfelt announcement. An occasion that was supposed to be celebrated and remembered for years to come turned somber when 11 people lost their lives outside the Chinnaswamy stampede.
The stampede happened after the Rajat Patidar-led RCB came to the iconic venue to celebrate their maiden IPL win, and thank its loyal fans for showing unwavering support and love through these 18 years. However, there was crowd mismanagement when over 2 lakh fans tried to enter the Chinnaswamy stadium for celebrations, leading to complete civic sense being lost when the overcrowding situation and a fatal crowd crash happened near Gate 7.
